hey people...just got my copy of a book called painting with light its pretty old now but it is a great reference to lighting i've found it very useful indeed and pretty practical. just a thought for all you lighting freaks out there...another book i found useful was digital lighting and rendering which is more directed towards cg lighting hence the digital title part.

anyways...personally i think painting with light is a fantastic book well worth dipping into.

There is a book by Wordware ( Nicholas Boughen) - lightwave 3d 7.5 lighting , or something similar which is considered one of the best and the skills translate to most 3d apps
