Hi everyone
My preview id was (OBITUARY) but after the hackers attack i couldent login with that id, and my entire entery page was gone, and nobody answer my question to what to do.
So i decision to enter again to machineflesh with my old id, and upload the images again. I also pasted the othere user post reply before that attack as it was before.
I am starting again. I hope there was no problem with the rule. as i dont have any othere choice, and i cant wait to see that maybe my problem is solved. I have a lots of update and wip must go on.
:hmm:

Batrachian final minute

Location: Another planet
In a glass house base, a few creatures are living. Half of their body is robot and, the other half is alive.
Their body consists of metal, bone and flesh. Inside of the glass house there is air, ouside of it there is no air.
The creatures need oxygen to survive. They are also equiped with an reserve oxygen mechanism
(oxygen battery, OB) for the outside environment. The OB, when emptied, should be charged again.
Inside the glass house, OB is in the off position, when creature go to the outside that there is no air, OBs start to work.

Due to some reasons, like collision of a meteor, the barrier of the glass house cracks and, gradually, air escapes to the outer space.
Soon, the creatures will depend only on their OBs which contains a limited amount of oxygen.
Gradually, the OBs get empty and many of the creatures die.
Only a few of them remain alive, they should also die soon.
To be alive for a few more minutes, they start to struggle with each other in order to catch the OBs of other ones.
A struggle to survive a little more.
I try to show these last few minutes which is full of stress and fear in a single shot.
I hope to be on time.

Powell

nice start
How are you rendering those wireframes in MentalRay??
________________________________________________

OBITUARY

hi .thank you all for your support
Powell . its a trick .there are many way for this kind of wire frame rendering. in maya first i set the uv map to Auto progection then in take a snapshot in uv texture editor its depending on a details of your model set the size .and then you can decreas or decrease the Diameter ot the lines and use this as the alpha channel . dont forget to use the raytrace shadow.
the othere way in mental ray is to use the contour shader, but its looks post process and also i cant render the faces in quadric with contour shader all faces shown as a triangle . can anyone solve my problem ?

i have the another problem .how can i delete on of my wip upload images ?

Wow! Fantastic modeling! It reminds me very much of 'origami'. You have a VERY uniquie style....like these creatures are constructed out of very complex layers of thin materials....paper like.

Hard to explain! Buit EXTREAMLY cool non-the less.

great entry! i really like the skeletal feel to your modeling. sorry 'bout the hackers...but it looks like you're back on track..

the 'dirtiness' of your renderings give the images a great feel, i'm sure we'll see some of that in your final image. can you give tips on how you accomplished that?

what software are you using?

ali-rahimi-shahmirzadi
05-22-2004, 12:49 AM
thank you all for your suport

(skello) i am glad that you still remember that work :p

(bigfatclown) the 'dirtiness' of the images is a simple bitmap mask in photoshop, and i use (maya 6).

Fantastic work! No crits!!

I absolutely love the x-ray scans you have done, they are just too cool and the modelling of the jawbone in itself is very stylised and solid:thumbsup:

It looks like the jaw splits in half with the tusks folding back underneath it?? I love stuff that transforms like that... it's great to see you give it this attention to detail

I hope you can get the whole creature done in time for the deadline to this level of quality. Great stuff.:wip:
