Hoping someone can get me pointed in the right direction. I have an opportunity to spend some time working with Filmbox 3.5 next week, and I'd like to make a go at bringing in a biped character from Maya and animating it in Filmbox (we'll be using motion capture). Is there a guide or tutorial for all this?. My searches only turned up bits and pieces, but no complete walkthroughs on the process. For example, character setup in Maya......can/should rigging be done in Maya? Is there a specific naming convention for joints that must be followed? Units of measurement or scale/size issues of the skeleton? Which exporter plugin should I use? (I will be using Maya 4.5 or 5, and Filmbox 3.5) What should I watch out for? Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.
