Hey peeps,
A few months ago i started modeling a yacht and worked on it intesively for i dunno... 2 days ? as i was trying out modeling techniques and getting to know maya.
I haven't been working on it ever since, and actually i would like to finish the model.... because i LOVE Yachts !
After viewing the model again, i wondered if Poly modeling is the best method for this type of job... i know Sub-D's are very good in beautiful lines, but i wanted to have something 'faster'.
So my question is... is it better to work on it polygon style and then converting it to nurbs ?
Or should i start of from scratch and do it in sub-d this time ?
What i want, is to create realism...and i am willing to build from scratch :) (only if neccessary ofcourse :) )
here's a pic of what i have right now...
it aint much, but you can see it's polygon and that i was starting to get-to-know maya :) (which i also love working with)
