View Full Version : Toronto Studio
Hamilcar 05-14-2004, 06:23 PM Hello all,
I’m a Toronto based 3d Artist, looking to start a 3d studio. I hold a Diploma in business management and have studied art at OCAD and Architecture at Dalhousie University. I need a partner! If I find the right person this could be your chance to get in on the ground floor and have a real say in the important decision making involved in creating a studio. Success stories can usually be attributed to great teams of individuals. If you have great 3d skills and want to be, not only part of a fresh new studio, but also its founder then this is your chance. I am creative and artistic so I think a good balance would be to start with someone who considers themselves more technically minded, and has the talent and abilities to make our projects come to life.
Our first project would probably be a little test that would brand are studio and help us get some funding from the NFB. The next step would be to create a short that we could submit to various festivals and hopefully be used to drum up some work. This is a great time to start some roots in this industry and as more and more CG work gets outsourced the perfect time to start a small studio. I need an enthusiastic individual that lives for 3d and loves animation.
All aspects of this project are open to discussion. Please e-mail me or PM me with links to your reel and or website. This will be a Toronto based studio so please take that into consideration before contacting me. By the way I do have a location for us to work from.

If that studio of yours ever needs a programmer (Sorry, I don't know much about 3D art) let me know. I'm a recent DeVry graduate looking for work in Toronto.

Hey all......
I'm located in toronto as well. And looking to network with other
CG artist in the area, I'm a freelance artist.
And would luv to work with others on a project or two.
It would be kool if a team can be formed, not only a partnership.
It would be really kool to create something bigger then
what one person can do on his/her own.
Good luck with this project Hamilcar. You have my support.
I've already corresponded with you via e-mail and sent you my links.
PEACE,OMAR.
If any one else wants to see my work feel free to check out the links.

Hey guys ,im glad to see more torontonians into this idea. But you know what would be an incredible idea , we gather all the 3d guys in toronto from this site and we all create a movie together ,and since communication obviously wont be a problem ,we can band together then show the world what TO is made of!

Hey guys,
I'm from Whitby, not too far from TO. I'm dying to get into the digital visual effect field, but as of right now I don't have any formal training or schooling in it. I intend of doing so in the upcoming years so not to worry.
I'd love to get involved in anything going on in the Toronto area. I currently do as much creative writing as i can and i've written a couple of short stories, so if story development is required for any project, count me in. Also I've gone to college for Multimedia design, and I'm currently working on making my own site. So if any web design or interactive stuff is needed, again, I'd love to help.
I'm really looking at networking with people in the 3D/ Film industry in Toronto. So drop me a line anytime. I'm on MSN and I check e-mail frequently. I'd love to hear from anyone who's looking at deveoping a project, or anyone who might want to work on one with me.
Via Con Dios.
