select Tags in raycast mode

Hi Fugee, first, put your viewport in a mode in which you can't see the tags behind : that means NOT in wireframe. Go to shade or hidden line removal.
Then , on the keyboard, hit "T" then "F8" or "F10"
With "F8", you have a lasso selection by raycast.
With "F10" you need to drag your mouse above the tags in order to select them.
