View Full Version : a tool like softimages deform by curve?
anthonymcgrath 07-15-2002, 03:45 PM I need a tool like softs deform by curve and I dont want to use the attach to motion path, then use flow path cos its bollox.
anyone know of anything, mel, or otherwise can they let me know! I am sick of that nonsensical motionpath/flowpath shite!
cheers

Perhaps you are searching for the wire deformer??

a wire def might not work here because he requieres to ly on the surfaces. so it's more to deform a surface directly. if you put a wire def in the middle of an object not much will happen.
you could try to setup a lattice first and then deform the lattice by one of the nonlinear deformers. a direct counterpart to the softimage one is not here.
