Hi, I just upgraded from 5.0 to 7,
and having some trouble getting used to the new "way of things"

basically, I'm using a tablet, and I'm used to being able to turn off pressure sensitivity for the shape of a brush, or transparency of a brush, separately, and at my will.

but in PS7 is like, preset for each brush(I guess its called shape dynamics and color dynamics, and etc in PS7),
now I can turn off the various dynamics if I want,
but the thing is, its still preset for each brush,

is there a "master option" I can use to just dissable it for all the brushes always?
or is my only option making a bunch of new brush's?
or turn it off every time I pick a preset brush?

any ideas are appreciated.
thanks!

hmm dunno...but i hate the new brush engine because "airbrush" is now an option....adobe recommends the preset approach for switching to that, so perhaps they have gone preset crazy...

try adobeforums.com for more help.

feck,

yeah I know how you feel,
man in my opinion, if it aint broke dont fix it!!
software companies need to start remembering that,

I mean i'm getting used to the new way of things..
but the old was was so simple and fast,

imo, they shouldnt have jumbled EVERYTHING around,
they should have just built on what was already there..

not that its not nice, cuz it is :)

Same thing over here, I switched from 5 to 7 and was struck by everything that was changed - but believe me after a month or so you'll wonder why Adobe didn't do that before, much more tidy and easy to get what you want...

One main thing you have to master before become proficient in PS is your shortcuts.. EXTREMLY important and useful !

As for the brushes, I have the same problem here, well it takes a bit more time to do, but all the options make me shiver =) !
