View Full Version : Vehicle: Audi TT - WIP
stefanvverk 05-02-2004, 09:40 PM Hi,
I've been reading threads on this board for quite a long time now, but never started one myself. That's mostly because I got nothing to show :)
But since2 days I've been working on my 3th (serious) car, an Audi TT.
Modelled in Rhino 3, rendered in Max / Brazil.
The front is finished, working on the back and the roof now.
Here's a pic, all pics will follow at the bottom.

looking good.
no one replied because everyone seems to model an audi tt, it must be one of the most common wip cars.

im not sure if yours is a dirrent model, but this one has smaller bottom corner vents, and the bottom mesh effect runs up to the front grill.
other than that cant really fault it.

Thanks for the reply.
As for the Audi TT being the most common WIP car, I totally agree with that. I found it easy to work out a lot of details in an easy way. So I think many people like the simple shape of the car, which makes it "easy" to model.
As for the front-bottom grill, I actually have the exact same picture sitting on my pc which I use with the modelling. But since I got a few (about 10), they all seem to have a few details different. Could be different types of the TT ?!
Either way, I just picked the niced details, and put them all together (notice my grill behind the Audi-logo, and the grill on the pic you gave).
I'll post a pic of the roof and the back when I get to that. Working on the tires right now :)

as for the details, i wasnt sure which one was right, coz i do remember seeing it with that grill.
just noticed the arch overlaping the bonnet gap on the right.
looking like one of the best TT's ive seen so far.

above the wheel, the hood/bonnet gap should go over the top of the arch.

Been busy with other stuff, too bad...

The rims are f*cked-up because of a mesh error. Will fix that in the next version.
My question was.. should I continue with this model ??.. It's getting big and hard to work with.. Feel like starting all over again.. Please C&C

New update, this time without the rim's mesh-error :)

By the way, C&C are still very welcome...
Or is this a; 'you modelled 1 of 237391 Audi TT's, so we've seen too many, we don't comment, we don't look'-kinda thing ? :)
