Hello
Maybe someone can help, I have been using PS 5.5 for ever ,,,a change in jobs and the company I work for now uses PS 7,and I am wondering what did Adobe do to this once great program,,, anyways, Among the myriad of un-needed changes they seemed to have moved things around.

But the one thing I just can not find is..... On the Airbrush tool, one used to be able to check a "fade" box and type in a range that the flow of the brush would disolve from its initial pressure and fade to transparent over that range.

It has to be here somewhere,, I know I am just not seeing it...

thanks.

Believe me I've experienced the same thing and I would not ever ever go back to 5.5 - PS7 has a great handy layout which is neat and tidy, you've just got to experiment a bit more to find everything and LEARN your shortcuts - this will greatly improve workflow...

Regarding you question:

go to the brush tab (or window>brushes)

check any options wou want but for the fading part go to the 'other dynamics' tab, select 'opacity jitter' to 0%, in the drop down list select 'fade' and then choose your step (25 should be good) - this should do the trick...

Now I know this is quite long to do for each brush, I haven't found a way to automate all that...

cheers,
mlk
