This is the story behind the image that will be created here...
It's probably year 2113, if you counted from the year that you are reading this. The industry had grown exponentially over the years polluting the air with all kinds of toxic, poisonous fumes, up to the point mankind couldn't conceive children the normal way. Baby's were born dead, terminally ill or disfigured in a way that they couldn't possibly called a baby's anymore. Mankind needed to find a way to procreate or the era of man would end.
The scientists invented a way to "grow" the baby outside the mother's womb in huge laboratory's. Hundreds of thousands of baby's were grown this way. But, the scientists couldn't oversee one major flaw in this method. Without the mother child connection during pregnancy and the fact that the babies were grown inside a cold laboratory, 97% of the children became insane, homicidal or murderers. All lab-children (some 30 years old) were excecuted to prevent further demise of mankind.
By now the youngest women are 43 years old. As time was running out they decided to build a mechanicle womb in the most healthy females on the planet and placed them in a clean, friendly and warm environment. The experiment was a success. All children born this way were healthy. They grew up to be kind, warm and tollerant, bringing crimes and wars to a halt.
Nowadays, there are thousands of grow centers over the world. It's an honor to be selected as one of the "community mothers", as they are called now, to have a modified design of the womb installed.
When a couple wants to start a family of their own, they come to one of these grow-centers. Sperm and an eggcell is planted into a "community-mother" of their choosing, to let her take over the pregnancy.
The biological parents can come and visit to see the progress of their baby inside this mechanical womb.
The last scene is what this picture is going to portray.
The first image i uploaded is a quick sketch of one of these grow-centers. It has the basic form that i want to show and I experimented a bit with colors. Grey and cold outside. Warm and friendly inside.
Check back often for updates and i really would like to hear any comments.
thanks,
Dennis
