View Full Version : Extrude along Curve?

I'm trying to extrude this cube along the curve but it wont let me.
(Check attachment to see what I get)

And I have untoggled Extend Component Selection in the Select Menu.

Thanks for any help!
BTW: XSI is far more funnier than any other 3d app I've tried! :D

it acutaly is extruding along the curve from what i can see.. what you have to do is turn up the subdivisions when the porperty box pops up

if it doenst press "8" and then go to the object and expand it until you see the extrude along curve operator and click on it to open the properties

Thanks but I've already done that.
What I ment is, I want it to go along the curve, so it fits the reference pic I have in the Right view. Right now it just gets the shape of the curve, but I want it to actually go along the curve

uncheck auto rotate under the extrude properties.

It's unchecked as default.

if its unchecked it'll follow the curve , i dunno whats wrong with yours.

draw the curve again

select your curve and then in the model panel go to Modify -> Curve -> Inverse. this should fix your problem. it looks like your extrusion goes in the wrong direction. and also crank up your subdivision levels for a smoother result.
