hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me? I am using maya 4 and i am instancing particles with geometry and having the particles collide with a surface. The thing is the individual particles have a pivot point above the instanced geometry so when the particles collide with the surface the geometry is on the reverse side of the surface. Sorry not very good at explaing things :)
Any ideas how i can fix this, am guessing need to change pivot point some how but not sure how???

Thanks in advance!!

jonathan :)

In a case like this, I would probably offset the collision surface by half the bounding box size of the instanced geometry, and make the new surface the collision object, but keep it hidden so it looks like the particles are colliding with the original surface. The more spherical your instanced objects are, the better it will look.\
