Well... I was trying to do the Machineflesh Challenge 2D, with the War Mosquito concept... But I think I´m not in the mood for war things right now.
As Antropus said, I´m a child maker. I have a doughter and my wife is pregnant again, so I decided to do something around this concept... Maybe something to put on their bedroom... I don´t know...
Anyway, here is the concept.

C&C are wellcome!
great concept man
very original!
modelling looks good too but i think the head should be more "squashed" in the y axis to look more like a baby's head

Hey, Man. Thanx a lot dude.
About the head, well this is the girl´s head, not the baby´s.
I think once I put the hair, it will be easyer to tell it.
rajdeep Thank you! :)
I am also a bit tired of monsters, soldiers, weppons and killing machines. Although there are some really amazing ones in this competition! And I´m pretty sure a big horrible monster with it´s sadistic machine mother from a friend of mine is going to win this comp!

I love your concept. It's one of my favorites. It's one of the few "nice" concepts. Keep the illustrations style, don't get hung up on realism.
Concentrate on style not anatomical accuracy. It's a problem so many 3D artists have.
That said, it's looking fine so far.
I think you could do a bit more development on the tree. Currently it looks like a machine designed to look like a tree, which has been stuck in the ground. Maybe it should be half tree half machine.
Your a good illustrator I think the challenge will be creating the mood you captured in that illustration.

Nice concept and nice hair. About the tree, I agree with pixeljunkynz, maybe you should try to make it half mechanical and half organical ...

Thanks a lot pals!
nsnaveen - Thanx man!
pixeljunkynz - Good tips! I´ll certanly pay attention to the mood and illustration style. I know exactly what you mean by loosing quality if we overwork on the anatomical accuracy. I´m trying to avoid that! Feel free to tell me if you think I crossed this line!
About the tree, it´s something to keep in mind. I had not think about this... Maybe it´s nice... When I get there I´ll make some tests.
JR.BRAZ - E aí meu camarada?
About your idea of tubes for feeding the child I really don´t think it´s necessary... I think it´s clear to everybody that the "plant" is begetting the child. At least I hope everybody sees that
About the tree, as I said to pixeljunkynz, you both may be right! I´ll see it latter. Thanks a lot buddy!
See you later!

nossa , adorei .

Well there's nothing to crit about your modelling skills. I love the little swirl of hair on the baby.
You modelled really detailed ears on the baby even though you can't see them when he/she's in the pod. If you could see them, I'd maybe point out they could be simplified, in terms of form.
I'm loving this, can't wait for more updates.

Sooooo cute, my friend :)
You are a good father with a great heart. Models are both great and clean. Nice to see one work with feelings like peace and calm... instead of pain in some ugly monsters around...yak!!! hahaha
Best of luck and keep it up!

It's so sweet :) And terribly good modeling too. The expression of the baby is wonderfully living. It's really a great job... And well, very kind in this contest, one of the few that is not dark
And I saw your war mosquito in 2D... I love it :D
hi Pedro, You have a beautiful work here. Keep on doing that great job !!!

==========================================================
Man, your work is very cool... You're passing the baby's confort sensation right up.
Congrats! Just one question... Are you using Maya? 'Cause your doing the hair already... hehe usually folks do the hair in the end, but hair in Maya is easier to control...
