Getting User Name

what do you mean by user name, the windows user name of the person using the computer?

ah ok, you want use maya to get the username of the person? I think thats more of a windows admin function, but you can get maya to run programs from within itself (Like having a marking menu to run your favorite games ;) ), find out how to do it in the windows help, or on a windows forum, then load that command into a scriptjob
