About 2 - 2.5 hours so far, I had the lower jaw/mouth done but decided to scrap it and redo it again

some C&C would be extremely helpful, I am completly new at organic modeling, been using maya for enviroments, all coments/critique's will be apreciated.
I will post more as I go along.
Thanks

looking good so far. i never modeled a realistic human head before either is it hard? that bump in between the eyebrows bones above the nose looks odd. you probably should have just posted the jaw, its a wip forum after all.

ok now i see where you are going.
you nostrils on the nose are too flared out, lower them down.
in the profile the head you modeled has a sharp edge on the top of the forhead.

For being the first head I must say I'm impresed.
some C&C on the work so far..
Try making the chin line a litle more straigt, now u have a stair chin and acording to your ref image this shouldn't be the case...
also the modells nostrills point a bit to much upwards try lowering them a bit.
Keep going some tweaks here and there and woola you will have one super photo realistic face in no time

I fixed up the nose a bit, added ears, and cleaned up the mesh some.

i think they look weird because the nostrils part looks a little to thick/big. compared to the ref from what i can see.. maybe just make it a bit smaller and it would look alot better.

Better than my attempt too. You seem to be using a similiar technique to me too so thats kinda cool to see :)
Its looking good though might be nice see the eyes put back in.
Also chin seems just a little pointy from the front and the bits on the sides of each eye are somehow bothering me but I cant put it down to anything specific. So its probably just me.
Are you modelling just the head?

I'll be modeling the body soon, but didn't want to start on the body untill I had a somewhat decent head.
The pinch in the eye socket will go away with the eye, is just part of the inside of the tearduct.
The ears are pretty funky from the side so I have to fix that too, but I just had an urge to texture today so I'm going to start on that.
Thank you all for the C&C so far, is been great help.
Updates soon

Not bad for a first head, here are some areas u should rework:
Way too much mesh on the areas circled, u can keep half of it, and make your mesh flow on the top of the head as shown:) Hope it helps, peace
