I want to write a sciprt that opens MAX with my viewports the way I like them(no grids), the button sets how I like them, and many other defaults all set for ME!
I want to be able to install a new seat of MAX at work, and run this little script on it.. and have everything just as I have it at home.
I have heard it's pretty eassy, just need a little help! thanks a million

p.s. any one out there auth any professional set design expereince. I mean like television studio sets and the like. Thanks again

Set everything the way you like it. Save as maxstart.max in the \scenes directory. Everytime Max starts up, it'll open this file automatically and all your settings will be the way you like them. If you need portability, just take the file wherever you go and drop it in the 3dsmax\scenes directory before you launch Max.

Simple!
