CGTalk - XSI on Laptops

Notebooks are becoming more powerful all the time, so for me the question is: can they handle XSI. Of course, sheer performance is okay already, but what about display resolutions ? XSI still retains some of the resolution-lockedness of Softimage3D, so would it work, say, on a display with 1400x1050 or other odd resolutions ???

i know a couple of people who did a lot of freelance gigs with xsi on a laptop.

besides with XSI 4 display res problems are a thing of the past ;)

I have just loaded XSI Exp on to my Dell Laptop at 1400x1050 res. It gave me a warning during the install - but I ignored it and it seems to be working fine.
