ChrRambow 07-14-2002, 01:35 PM Hello,
this i my first modelling contest on CGTalk.
I love the "Beast of Burden" topic.
I am using Cinema 4D for modeling.
...so here is my concept sketch :)
It's a bad (a very Bad) creature ...

That guy looks pissed. Good luck:beer:
looks nice so far, try to attach the horns better to the head like you did with the arms

Thank you for comments :)
iC4-: I will attach the horns to the head they are only temporary there.
The horns on the arms will be sharp blades later.
With those he can stretch forward.
I really love your 2-headed bull :)
looks like a real BEAST - well, maybe a little skinny in the midsection -> he might just break when strained ;)

love the concept and the model is coming along! the one crit I have so far is that his teeth look too rounded...I mean this guy is obviously not a plant eater...maybe keep afew rounded for grinding and have some sharp ones for shreding!

cool concept and great modeling so far. I do have one crit, and its silly and nit-picky but, how does your BoB eat with the horns like that?
Sorry that crit is lame 'cause I couldn't find anything else (which I guess is a good thing). ;)
Great work so far

This looks good, your BoB doesn't look "knuffig":p
The crit I have is that you maybe can give some more details in his head. That is the only thing I have so far.
Keep on working on it:wip:

Mr. Nice Guy: do you mean that with adding details to the head?
I have to work a lot on the details of the body, especially the tail.
Added some more details and tweaking him to the final-pose:

schaut schon sehr gut aus!!
nur wie schon gesagt wurde-füg noch mehr details hinzu und versuch vielleicht auch mal ein paar muskeln zu modeln. so dünn wie der ist müsste man die verdammt gut sehn können. und noch was, was du wahrscheinlich aber sowieso beheben würdest, ist das die hörner sehr polygonkantig aussehen. sieht aber ehrlich sehr cool aus-bin schon auf die nächste version gespannt!!:bounce:

Is the claw passing through the ground plane intensional or just a temp thing? If it's intensional, I'd model the ground plane to show that it was sort of cut into by the claw.
just my 2 cents

ZrO-1: its intensional ... the Groundplane is only temp now i will add more details to the ground later
derwolpertinger: Details are coming but not to the head ,because this is the look i wan't for the head. Muscles and other stuff are coming.
(Die polykantigen Hörner bleiben ... die Klauen werden aber noch überarbeitet)

I quite like the way the claw goes beneath the plane... almost like he's trudging through super-flat snow. :D
Very nice work. He could use those horns at the front like curly kebab sticks!

just my opinion but mabe have the straps go under the horns instead of over them...or kuffed around them..but it looks a bit odd the way it is now...the rest is looking nice...maybe some back feet details..and I like the new sharper teeth!

I forget to mention that he is walking trough mud ... that's why the claws are very helpful for him to moving forward. :D
