This is some of my consept research. To begin with I wantet to make a fashinable lady, with robot legs. But concluded that the consept might be boring. so I began redesigning, and began working on a ManMashine.

This is the final concept drawing, it still need a lot of detailing, but general idea is here. Some fat guy, controlling his ballone with some kind of a brainwave enforcer. I wantet to make a picture, that would leave the viewer with a lot of questions. As you can se the ballon is implantet in his body, aswell as some mecanik to help, is overall bodyfunction.

So I have begun Modelling. Starting with some cylinders on his torcho, legs, arms and a sphere on his head. Deleted the one side, and used symmetry instead. Meaning I only had to work on one side, until it gets more detailed. I have been moving the vertexes og the cylinders, acording to a drawing I importet to the frontview. And added more polygons, where it was needed.

I have been working on the hands and arms now. Stil need some detailing.

Here I have been working on some core holders on his belt. starting by making a tupe, and extruded polygons to fit the shape. Then added some lines that I have made thick and made them rendable.

I have been working on the machinery that should make the big guy fly. But looking at the model, there is problems with the different proportions between all the wires and the big guy, its symply to small and delicate compared with the big guy. So I should consider to remodel the main charecter, so that it would be a high slim guy instead.

I have been working on his leg, that is part machine, part flesh.

Hey man just checkin back for an update...I know time is short...I've found a good way to build realistic Industraial looking machine parts is to abandon the use of "Nurbs" style objects and just go back to modeling the old fashion way....draw out your shape,,extrude ...bevel...bevel again...maybe drill in a few bolts...maybe run a few cuts down the object (after your bevels) and rotate a section in the top veiw (usualy where you plan on connecting the next piece) it gives a curved look but keeps the edges clean like true steel pieces woud be....anyways just thought I'd let you in on that,,,,makes modeling go buy quicker and the results speak for themselves.....I struggled with using nurbs to make mech parts for sometime before just saying F" it and going this way...never looked back..hope this helps....I can tell you are a great modeler....keep on goin:applause:
