View Full Version : looping animation
Raging Tempist 04-29-2004, 08:18 AM I have made an animation but i want it to loop smoothly my problem is that it plays though but when it gose to play again it clicks cos the animation is not in the same place now its basicly clouds moving and i dont paticualy want to have the clouds move backwards to the same place. can anyone give me some advice.

It depends on how they move, could you give us a sense of what the animation looks like?

- render out your animation.
- put it into a new composition 2 times (overlapping for a few seconds) -> animation1 & animation2
- create a smooth transition by slowly lowering the opacity of animation1 and increasing the opacity of animation2 (fade)
- adjust 'In' point of animation1 and 'out' point of animation2 so that they 'connect' when played back (frames should look 99% the same)
If its something too complex to apply a simple fade you can also cover the 'jumping' part with a white blink by adding a white layer on top of the animation that fades in 4 frames (100% opacity) and then fades out in 4 frames again (0%)
