you can chec out my XSI tips and tricks thread, i posted a couple links for some rigging vids,it has a simple foot roll in the part one using a curve path constraint, it works but its very basic

i checked out those videos previously. as well as buzz's videos.
no problem with getting the idea behind those parenting & constraining relations.
what bugs me is that i seem not to get how i can set up my rig so that the implicits would follow.
like, when character jumps. then the ground-implicits stay on the ground, but you need to key them manually so they go into their usual position (where the effectors were constrained) again (?)
do you need to make a master-null to parent everything and first key that and move it and then animate the implicits?
what i mean is, have you seen those siggraph seminar videos from aarons sims & michael isner? in one clip with that dinosour-creature-like-animal the implicits seem to go to their usual position automaticly (like a time offset. but always on it's usual perfect position where to it's effectors)
