View Full Version : Render without shadows?

Hi!

I have a photography that I'm projecting from a perspective camera onto some geometry. Since the photo already have all the shadows I need I don't want Maya to add additional shadows on the rendered result. I just need maya for a basic fly-around. (It's one of those testprojects)... :)

The Question: How do I turn off the shadows (or lights) completely in order to let my projected texture do the job?

Well, I think the easiest way would be to set all your shaders' Ambient colour up to white.

It's not just the real shadows that are the problem, it's just the whole 3D shading that makes them darker on the non-lit side. Setting the ambient colour to white makes them act completely lit on all sides.

Thanks. That worked perfectly!
