At first everytime i tried to open my AE project file the program would crash. I even reinstalled the program to try and fix it but still it happened again.

I noticed that on the loading info on the right hand side it stopped every time it tried to open an audio file.

So i opened the file on another persons computer and deleted all of the audio files. The project will now open on my computer but everytime i try to import an audio file it crashes again.

I can't see how but could this be a sound card problem??

I mean it worked before and i havent done anything major to my computer to mess up settings or whatever.

Ps i did have some trouble finding the file in the first place because it had somehow moved it self to a completey different folder on my computer.

Does anyone know what the proble is?

(Why do these things always happen to me a week before the deadline!)

Try converting your audiofiles to full-quality aiff's, I have better experience using that format in AE, low-quality wavs and mp3s can't be trusted. However, it shouldn't crash because of it, but since there's a whole host of different formats under the .wav extension, you never know which one it is (if thats the format you're using). Perhaps it's an unfortunate combination of codecs that's causing it.

Hope it helps a bit :hmm:
