View Full Version : stills: Yet again
I'm still messing around with Cinema 4D.
No real scenes this time, just some tests
First one; Testing realistic DOF (Depth of Field) and a new wood texture

Second one; Testing realistic materials; Metalic and a candle (candle not so much). Testing realistic highlights aswell, highlighting the light reflections. Also testing my modelling skills so far.

Last one; A test in PS :)

Critics as always appreciated!

Nice metal shader...the wood texture is nice also.
I think the edges on the table are too sharp....considering the obvious age of the wood.Aalso the wood texture is mapped incorrecctly...you can see it in the seam between the two boards.
Nice images otherwise....
The candle could use -sss- if it`s available in your version.

Thanks Bredro :)
Here's an update for the marble one:

i think the lack of replies (?) is due to the fact that the pics dont really tell us anything. rendering isnt all...
make something with the candle and the other pic, and apply the marble to something more interresting.

Rendering isn't all.. What do you mean with that? I created this and I'd like to have suggestions on this, no more.

Maybe you should consider posting this in the Cinema4d - application forum, because it is testing and messing around with cinema, not finished work.
Have you corrected the texturemapping on the wood? Not yet I think.
Try to put the candle next to that marble. Model a lighter also and design the marble as an ashtray maybe (one that is closeable). Just suggestions to make the pic more interesting...
The render of the candleholder really is well done, imho!
