CGTalk - Texturing Feathers

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions on what would be the best way to texture feathers on some maya geometry?

If you can't use paint effects, examine some tutorials that teach you how to build trees/bushes, as feathers are very similar. Also, depending on your needs, you might be able to use particles.
