View Full Version : Tablet: A4 VS A5

I just got a Trust 1200 A4 drawing tablet and I dont like it (much cheaper then a wacom, about 5 times). The pressure sensitivity doesnt work well, sometimes the cursor starts jumping and I get the impression that it draws jaggy lines (or is it me?! With a normal pen I can draw pretty smooth).

Now I am thinking about returning it and buy a Wacom Graphire3 Classic XL. Because it's only about 60€ more expensive.

Now, my question is, should I do this?
I mean, the trust is A4 and the wacom 'only' A5.
My impression is though A4 is to big for me. But isn't A5 too small for drawing in Photoshop, painter and illustrator?
Or is it because I get the bad results (jaggy, jumpy) that I dont like the A4 sized version? Does the size matter much?

Thanks in advance and sorry 4 my bad English...

Hi Chritter,

I've got an A5 Wacom tablet and I am not so happy with it, because I believe especially when working at higher screen resolutions, it is necessary that the tablet can match up with it.
I don't want to complain much about it, because this tablet got me started at this kind of device and could enjoy the benefits of drawing free handed.

I just want to buy a larger tablet, since my tablet is more and more likely to malfunction - but is rather old anyways...

Wacom really seems to be the only choice on the market. That's quite sad. I'd be interested whether there are cheaper alternatives which can compete with Wacom quality
