Why didn't anyone post yet?

Well, one thing: very, very nice! Never seen a grasshopper modeled in 3d:) Nice textures, the model too is good. I like the feel of this image. Nothing else to say. :)

Really outstanding image! Has a "pixar" feel to it which I am liking. Your texuting is outstanding, damn those UV's must have taken forever. My only crit would be the stones look a little foamy, not hard and rough like you would expect.

Also, you might try placing some detail mid-ground, right now you have foreground grasshopper, then blurred background image, looks a little like a back-drop. something mid ground would break this up.

Really good work here. Stick a bump map on the rocks (or increase it if you've already got one).

Really wow! style of work.

Just one comment : The texture looks a bit shiny that make the grasshopper a bit plastic looking. You can see tiny little hairs when u look at insect at close range (i don't know abt grasshopper). Make it abit hairy, perhap this will make it looks more real.

But nevertheless, it is a great piece of work! Well Done!

Hello!

I'speak very bad in english. The look of your image is very interesting, I like. Textures very nice.

Bueno, ahora digo en castellano. Me gusta mucho tu imagen, quizás algún pelillo que otro no le quedaría mal. Lo demás muy pero que muy interesante. Enhorabuena.

stunning work bud...lovely textures...
would like to see a little more variance on the rocks...but the grasshoppers texturing is fantastic...also maybe a little more dof...check out a close up photographic shot of a close up like this and use that as a reference. would also like to see slightly wide image...minor minor crits though bud...v impressed.

Yes very nice indeed! I really like the clarity of these images, the fact that you took no shortcuts to avoid detail. The subtle specular bloom is a nice touch also, did you do that in Post?

The modeled one of your grasshopper seems very good to me, the one that is without texture seems of chocolate and makes me hungry.

Me parece muy bueno el modelado de tu saltamontes, el que está sin textura parece de chocolate me ha dado hambre:bounce:

Great image!

I think the glow-effect is cinema´s post-effect? Well done! Please show us a wireframe, the model is looking great without textures, too.:applause:

Eheheh tu Ingles es muy malo pero tu modelo es fantastico!
Just kidding!

Congratulations, its an awesome piece of work!

I agree with the DOF problem, the background blur makes it unreal as it is.

Anyways, fantastic.
