how can i get a backgroud out of a footage i film i dont have the alpha footage ! becouse it was film by me! and now i have to use it but i dont know how to get the background off

i know how to do id wit a alpha footage black and white but in this case i dont have that alpha footage so what you guy think i could do or a plugins i can use!!


any coments please!

Well, you either shot the footage on chromakey, in which case you'll have to start keying.

-Or, you didn't shoot on chromakey, and you'll have to start making animated masks. :)

(I'm assuming your foreground is moving).

Here's the mask recipe:

1) Right click the layer, pick "new mask"
2) Pull the mask points so the mask fits around your object/character
(adding points will most likely be necessary)
3) Set mask feather -- try 1, 2 and 3 to see what works best.
4) Make sure you activate the "animate" button for the mask SHAPE.
5) Go forward in the timeline and change the shape of the mask as the object moves.

Repeat step 5 until finished. :)
