ah ok.. you're an intimist, aren't you ?!
nice, nice, nice.
cannot see so far any problems (maybe just the dof for the left top tree is a little bit too much... but probably is needed to get that nice composition.. without.. the little house will be a little bit naked.. I think).
04-25-2004, 04:20 PM
like the texture
did u use vrays disp.
04-25-2004, 05:10 PM
That is an absolutely beautiful work of art. Thank you for sharing.
04-25-2004, 05:49 PM
hehe very cute !!
i lke ur picture

Yes I am :D your are right the deep of field is a bit strong, but this is picture is completely different without dof.
No, I use the old Bump :), The displace is very nice but useless here I think.
je me suis posé la question de l'oiseau, mais ca change compeletement mon image, le but était de faire une maison a zoizo, et non un oiseau dans un decors , tu me suis ? :)

oooh that looks very real
Amazing! You might want to make the nails a tad bigger and add more specular / reflection to the leafs. :)
04-25-2004, 10:25 PM
Really good image!
Intresting example to do something colse to photorealism, without matching it.
Sorry for my ENG! :D
04-26-2004, 11:23 AM
very very super bo, !!!!!!! tu devrais te mettre a la 3d toi je suis sur que ca te plairais !!!
04-26-2004, 12:57 PM
very nice work, how many times for rendering?
04-26-2004, 07:59 PM
Thats cool looking! Its like were spying on the house waiting for a bird to pop its head out. Nice colors.
very nice mood and very sweet feelings !!

Its like were spying on the house waiting for a bird to pop its head out.
:) otacon, but looking at your avatar will be hard for you to catch a bird...:)
04-27-2004, 09:00 AM
if you want to see a wire :
rendering time is 41 minutes.
oui c 'est vrai que j ai un peu fait ca rapidos :)
:) tu as raisons
you are right ! :) something dont match.
maybe specular on leafs will give some realism.
04-27-2004, 09:03 AM
very very nice work man! i really love your images. well done :bounce: :applause:
maybe add some birds poo! :D:cool:
nice mood. Really missing a little cute birdie though.
04-27-2004, 03:02 PM
looks really nice!
I'm much worse at texturing, but I did notice something weird about the texture on the front of the house.
there doesn't seem to be any relationship between the model and the texture.
example: under the stick that sticks out of the house I would expect some green stuff from the rain dripping down, but instead it's really clean.
Awesome image though, finally a good use of Dof :)
04-27-2004, 03:37 PM
I like the pic but missing a bird ? no ???
04-27-2004, 04:39 PM
Really nice, kinda like a still life. I love the leaves the way they are. My only crit is that, although I don't mind the DOF in the foreground and background (it emphasizes the subject better), I don't think there should be so much on the birdhouse itself. Why blur out the detail when it looks so good?
04-27-2004, 04:52 PM
first of all: AMAZING birdhouse. no crits at all.
The only thing i dont like is the way the leaves are blured in a way you can't even tell it's a birdhouse. I don't think you should not use depth of field, i would only use less. great work alltogheter
04-27-2004, 08:14 PM
my only suggestion would be to subtly change the colors of the leaves in the back to be bluer/less saturated to push them back, and those in the front to be yellower (tho just a tiny bit) to bring them forward.
it should create enough visual depth to allow you to tone down the dof a bit.
04-27-2004, 09:19 PM
I'd be nice a little transluciency on the leaves, if you have, sorry, i can't see it.
Anyway, really nice end real picture, and the theme of it also makes me happy
04-27-2004, 09:58 PM
excellent job, I love it.
The only crit I have is that the wood could be warped and twisted a little .
keep it up.
04-28-2004, 01:19 PM
I love it. very nice work:applause:
04-28-2004, 05:52 PM
nice work...i really like it
04-30-2004, 09:47 AM
Nice job dude!
And what about having a little (even dead) bird?
You can also add few littles details on the mesh.
Keep on posting!
05-02-2004, 07:05 PM
after all your comments, this is the updated birdhouse, I realy love the DOF so i keep it strong :)
the bird is verry simple. I don't have more time for it
I wish you like it
05-02-2004, 07:23 PM
Yes! the bird really adds much to the piece...beautiful!
05-02-2004, 09:12 PM
realy realy nice!!! I prefer this one
05-03-2004, 08:59 AM
Much better with some life form.
Keep the white background?
Nice job indeed!
05-03-2004, 09:03 AM
simple but stunning !
love it !
05-03-2004, 10:05 AM
great work Mr Clems!!!
05-03-2004, 10:21 AM
Wow Mr. CLems.......Awesome work! The bird looks really good, and everything just fits. Nice texturing and lighting.
I really think the bird topped it off. :bounce:
Keep it up!
05-03-2004, 10:28 AM
Well, i like the image very much, but as someone said, i think the DOF is too strong. I mean, first of all, i would not blur the house at all, i find it very unrealistic. Appart form that, the front leaves are too much and unrealisticaly blurred, showing as stains instead of making the composition richer IMHO. As it is a matter of taste, and you said you like the DOF as it is, just keep it that way, but sincerely i think it makes the comp disperse, broken. Maybe i would put the camera just a little closer to avoid too much leaves in the front.
05-03-2004, 10:31 AM
Very nice texturing! I really like it and it looks realistic :)
Rarely seen a so beautifull CG image !
Just simple, poetic. Nothing unusefull. Maybe the Dof is too high, in my opinion.
Mr Clems is the best....
05-03-2004, 06:54 PM
Much better now!
Great textures. Can we take a look to a low res diffuse map?
05-15-2004, 04:37 PM
this is a small animation with the bird,
it is a test render, 4 days for rendering :surprised
you will see some mistake in this video but it is not the finale animation
05-17-2004, 07:38 AM
vraiment joli mouvement de l'oiseau tres naturel ....bluffant:bounce:
Arf !! Mr Clems is now animator !! ;)
The Bird moves like a real one, difficult to do this kind of subtil animation, hard to make it credible. :surprised
Great work Mr Clems, still the best !
Touf, Serial Animator...

05-26-2004, 11:33 AM
05-26-2004, 07:31 PM
