I colored this drawing by a guy named Tyrannus earlier to help a friend with some painting techniques:

and for some reason, it got me inspired to create myself as a Street Fighter character. I actually liked how it was going until I painted the face and now I hate it. For some reason, I just can't make it...work. I dunno, but I'm ready to give up on it. Comments and critiques on both are much appreciated.

P.S. -I saved screen shots of the Bison pic and will be posting a tutorial soon.

...bison amazing !! so cool expression .. nothing to criticize ..
second one is great too ..!! dunno what you say about his face ..i guess it's very nice ... maybe expression .. ... seems like his eyes looks in different ways ..:))) ... painting style very good ...reminds of street fighter comics ..:p

I guess the characters face you are worried about is too bland... too normal. Try making him uglier or less 'American hero' type, even if it doesn't match the characters personality, and if he really is an American Hero type of guy. The first picture you posted has a little more to say. I like the colouring very much and am intrigued in your upcoming tutorial. Can you send me a private message or email when it comes out?

agree with the avalanches ... but just post here that you finish your tutorial ... cuz i'm interested too .. and i guess many people is interested in it too ..

Thanks for the comments guys. They are much appreciated. I have a few deadlines to meet, but as soon as I'm done, I'll get that tutorial written and post it.

Anyone else have something to say?
