View Full Version : Stupid question: Making a spade?
OrestesMantra 07-13-2002, 03:24 AM Okay, im stumped. Ive been trying to make a spade(The shovel part) for the past 30 minutes and all ive got is a few curves. Im really bad at modelling so I need some help :shrug:
Could someone give me a mini-tutorial on how to make one?I kinda want something like this:

so the shaft is simply done by a revolve from a profile curve. the steel body (don't know the exact english name) i have done by creating prodile curves (look from the direction of the shaft) and then did a simple loft. usually after that you have to tweak a bit the hulls. then for detail i've inserted a few isoparms on the bottom part and tweaked cv's to get the look.
