Hey guys!

Just wanted to share with you a piece I finished a little while ago, but never had time to post.

The football player is done completely in Adobe Illustrator using various refs (mainly a wallpaper created by Venue Images Incorporated). The background was done in Adobe Photoshop to provide contrast to the player and make him stand out.

I worked on it whenever I had time which ended being about 3 hours a day for a month and a half.

I'm very happy with how it turned out and I hope you all enjoy it as well. Comments and Crits welcomed!!!

:surprised Really nice illustration! I'm not too big on the typeface, but that's a style thing, really. But, I love the illustration, that's some crazy AI work :p

(oohh, I would suggest adding some space above his helmet, there's a pretty heavy tangent going on there.)

I agree with everything you said. I didn't really try to make the bg all that nice it's just so that there isn't a solid background. I definitely planned on changing it before I made my final portfolio print.

Thanks!

it looks really really good - but not photorealistic - i have no idea about how vectors work (that's how u did right?) but just from that wire stuff you sent must've been a lot of trouble!

his left hand look kinda small...but maybe it's just me...

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply.

HeHe...yeah it was A LOT of work but it was worth it.

My school Cincinnati State has a good program for computer graphics. It's something worth checking into because it's quite inexpensive.

Thanks again for the compliments! :bounce:
