Well, although i am not new to 3d, I AM brand new to this forum! Ive looked over the stuff here, and it looks excellent, so i decided to join. (Plus, I finally have an image that is worthy of these forums :p )

Anyways, I created the following image for a weekend challenge at www.elysiun.com, the theme was "Ruins" :

http://doug.mud-puddle.co.nz/albums/blenergetic/ruins.jpg

This was modelled and rendered in Blender (including slight grain), GIMP was used only for desaturation and a slight blur of the horizon.

I think this is finished, but i would love to hear your comments and suggestions!

Oh, BTW, i won that weekend challenge! My first! :bounce:

Pretty nice but a bit empty. I think with more dirty things everywhere, it could be better.
Another thing: yhe trees seems on the water if you see what I mean...
Keep going!;)

Tchô!

you definately need som sort of shoreline, like a beach or rocks or something. Also I think the desaturation job is a little overdone.

good work overall.

[edit] oh and welcome to these forums dude
