Hi,
I am tryin to grow an object in size, so its actually scaling. But one problem is that if the object is shaped like a horse-shoe, scaling frmo the pivot, I cannot have the growing in volume effect. I need this to be automated (MEL) so cannot be hand-tweaked :(
So far, I've explored the extrude/extract command. But until a certain stage where the inner side of the horse-shoe meet each other, they do not know that they have intersected themselves, and polygon faces can be found inside the object as a result. So the mesh is somehow messed up. Is there any way to get rid of the polygon faces inside and just keep those polygon faces that can be viewed from outside?
Or is there any other method than extrude or extract? Actually I'm also not sure extrude or extract is more appropriate...
Thanks
