My theme is going to be situated in future hospital, where lost bodyparts are replaced with machines. I think it's going to be titled ROBOCTOR.

I use 3DS max V. 6 without any plugins.
Here is the robot arm that is going to be attatched to the girls shoulder.

Here is few steps of modeling the body. I started from chest and moved down towards feet. I created the arm separeately and attatched it to the body. Head was allso created elsewhere and attacthed. Finally I removed left hand where the robotarm is going to be.

Head was modeled using reference images. I needs little tweaking.

Nice. Very nice. This robo-arm is delicious. The girl is also sweet.

I must say my project is similar to yours. I haven't upload my sketches yet, but you'll see.

The majority of projects in this challenge present dirty, filthy & nasty characters. Your girl stands in opposite to this. Therefore I like it even better.

I'm very surprised that no one commented your entries before me.
Good luck!

PS we're both new here so...

Like Grooshka, the arm is well designed.
The woman modeling is great too; move on.

I really love how you designed the arm, i think you should add a few more mechanics to other parts of the body (maybe just minore things) to kind of even out the whole subject :) Great job!

The arm rocks!

If you want to focus 95% of the image on her, i would add a lot of anatomic details on the modelling.

Waiting for more updates

I unwrapped the girl and exported the uvw into photoshop and painted the diffuce, specular and bump maps.

I rigged the girl and posed her for test render. I still need to do the hair, but first I have to find out how on earth I'm going to do it!

here's wire, clay and material renders with Maxs'default scanline rederer.
The scene has total of 181754 polygons.
I made the backgroud separately and put it in the scene.
The final render will have some lens effects.

Nice work but needs a lot more details and texturing work in my opinion. Unless you are doing this for fun and not running for the main prize =)

Also that joint between hips and legs look a little abnormal, perhaps you should try morpher on that area? =)
