hi everybody at cgtalk who was as kind as watching my pictures!
this is one of my first posts here and my first finished work post!

this is the J-Bot and he's coming from the far and crazy planet groovestar...he is here during the intergalaktic robot exchange to bring us his culture!
with his friends J-Man and D-Man he do a lot of crazy and funky things!
hope u like him..my first character model!!!!
using C4D


(this character will be part of an animation i'm planning in the future....so stay tuned or watch out www.prayorpanic.com)

Hey DXtreme, nice job, great mats and modeling, renders look pretty good as well! Only crit is that he seems a little top heavy, like he may topple if he moves, great job though! :thumbsup:

yes maybe you're right he could topple but hey it's a robot..he would manage this!!!! ;-))

It's a nice design. I like the paint details. I like the version without reflections better. Metal just shouldn't be that glossy.

@hexenhaus....yes i decided to use this version in my ani, because the version with reflictions kills my box during rendering!!! (needed 18h for rendering!)

@Are3D...sorry but its an easy way to get into charactermodelling i think!

Looks great, especially the upperpart, nice smooth form,
Call me lame, but does it have a head or something in the middle of the upperbody?

yes the thing in the middle of the upper part is something like a Head!
not big not round but it should be the head of it!

no no it's a result of listening to oldschool Hardtrance for a long time and with a mix of a insane mind....something like this came out...muaaaahhh!!

That's a sweet deal!, I'm working on a robot of my own right now. I love the way the reflections turned out, and the lighting is super duper!

I talk to a guy named j bot all the time, but without the dash. He always says "It's j, like the letter, bot, jbot"
