Chrislee8, I would recommend hitting the f1 key when it comes to basic questions like this. If you hit the f1 key while max is running you will have a large amount of info on all of the basics.

I fixed the problem by raising the number of the segments of the Torus Knot.
Now here is the real problem, take a look at my ring, it is part of my model. how can I make it smoother?

btw, I understand f1 to get to the help menu, but sometimes i need a guide to find out what to look for or just a quick answer to the specific problem.

Put a meshsmooth modifier on it.
It is the easiest way to get a smooth model.
Your wireframe is very unclean.
As a beginner learn to work cleanly.

and there is a whole lotta nothing in my haed :bounce:
Meshsmooth sometimes kills your mesh, so be careful
with your editing you mesh (not too many booleans!)
