Just type in "GI_Joe" (without the quotes) and you're in business.
If you're still having problems, source the main GI Joe script and then type GI_Joe.

Okay....
When I execute the script the option for "32 lights, etc" pops up.If I click on one i get the error "File not found:C:\Documents and Settings\Orestes\My Documents\maya\4.0\scripts".
That is the location of the scripts....

make sure you've used the right kind of slashes. when you put GI_Joe into your scripts folder and change the locations in the code, it won't work if you have / as opposed to \.... i can't remember which it is, so just make sure it's exactly the same as what appears in windows explorer.

backslahes in strings (in MEL and c) have a functional meaning - to escape a backslash make two of them - in stead of \ use \\
e.g. "\n" in a string is line feed
for paths either escape them (by doubling them) or use the slash "/"

make sure you're directing GI_Joe to the files themselves, not the script directory
Where did you get GI Joe. I've heard about it on cgtalk, but haven't found it. Is it a free plugin? I looked on highend.

thats your first mistake. you can find it on highend3d, but the common misconception is that its a plugin. nope, its a MEL script, so you have to look under the scripts page, under rendering and texturing, and you will find it. then again, like dman said, pixho.com is probably your best choice :D

GI_Joe - http://www.highend3d.com/maya/mel/?group=melscripts§ion=rendering
there are some more scripts there for lighting
