I had play a little bit with my orange man. And did my FIRST speech animation. Just a short, but first. What YOU think?

I like the eyes. They seem to have a lot of life to them. The lips I feel could be a little more...broad, you know? For me, they're just not moving enough...expecially on the f and th syllables

Hello

Adopt your characters pose play the avi and try and do what the orange man is doing along with it.
Say the dialouge out loud and do his actions. You'll find that his actions won't feel right.
Act it out yourself from scratch loads of times until you stop doing it in a self conscious kind of way and see what you do.

I would suggest animating it without even trying to do any lip synch. Just animate it with his eyes and body language. The lip synch is too much of a distraction for you at this stage.

I would also suggest finding a piece of dialouge that has some contrast in it. Somebody having some kind of emotional change halfway through.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

I think you need to have more moving hold in you animation. Some bits like the eyes and the mouth are a bit "poppy" during in some places.

Other than that... I had a look at you website and I think you have a talent for character design. I love your characters and the colours... very.. appealing! :scream:

I wish I can come up with characters like yours! :applause:
