tssss..... I'm p*sssssssed. :banghead: :deal:
I'm very pleased. It's clear that Alias has listened to its users and has improved nearly all aspects of Maya. Plus, we get a bunch of cool, useful new features.
I can't wait! They seperated Fur into Fur and Hair! I REALLY can't wait to test this new bad boy out... Is it May yet?

read my posts... download will be available next Monday. As for a CD, I think they mentioned May. You can contact Alias or your local vendor to find out exactly when and how it will ship.

I was truly expecting a motion-builder or Character Studio rig system...none forthcoming.
The proportional mod tool looks great (inspired, no doubt by Byron;) ), and the deformer particle thing looks groovy. Hair looks great, but better...look at those dynamic curves it creates...gotta get some of them into some rigs eh?
PFx on polys (finally), and MRFM fur (nice). Looks like a great 5.5. Oh, sorry... 6:p

The seperation of hair from fur is pretty nice. I'm also excited about the feature that allows you to control particle emission by textures....that's pretty sweet.
