LOl funny ^^
But make a choice !
Or you make OUTLINES and color them inside OR you make quick very light sketch and paintover until we can't see the lines because actually it make it really messy... :/

It is still in the concept stage and meant to be messy at this point. When I get the look that I want I will repaint it, don’t worry there will be no lines.

Right, If I were to say anything at this stage about making the illustration stonger, I'd take a closer look at the pose.

As it is, the dude is quite static. Look at the little guys posture in terms of lines going through his limbs, and down his neck and spine.

If I could attach a pic I'd show you what I mean. After a quick search on the web I found this explaination:

http://www.freetoon.com/prestonblair/02-charactermov/pages/090.html

In your case look at his head, spine and tail.

Anothing thing maybe is to have a think about how he's grabbing on to his branch. Both his limbs on his left are gripping from underneath, both on his right are gripping from above. This is probably quite hard to do physically. Try changing them around.

Another thing is the mirroring of the pose for his left arm and leg. It makes it look a little too static. Raise an elbow here, or dip a knee there to make it more dynamic, like he could spring at you at any second.

Get those lines of action going and it'll look great!

/c.

Hey thanks kletterget,

That is really great information. I am in the process of redrawing it as we speak. I am trying out your advice.
