hey all...

Troika Games is starting a training internship program here in Irvine CA for young inexperienced but talented and highly motivated artists. We can currently handle 3 additional spots for interested students or artists. Areas to be studied are 3d animation, modelling and texturing.

Are you a young artist willing to do whatever it takes to learn and to be in the games industry?

Do you want to be a fantastic 3D artist?...cant afford art school? Tired of paying to learn? Come learn with us on a fantastic title for one of the top publishers in games. It is a AAA title...not some 12 months shovelware title...your work will be seen if you are capable..and it will be noticed. I can guarantee that you will learn more with us than at any school. We have guys here who can teach you anything about art that you want to learn. We are even hoping to learn from you!

We are an established small development team responsible for titles like fallout and arcanum for the PC. Artists here have contributed to other titles such as Counterstrike, Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale 2, Baldurs Gate:Dark Alliance, Myth 3 and many many others. We have a great group to learn from.

We prefer you to be local to Orange County or LA as you would be responsible for the commute.

Come in and learn with us as much as you like...hours are unimportant as there are guys here from 8am til 10pm or later on many occasions...its a very loose schedule and structure so someone is almost always here to help. if you want to learn for 8 hours a day..so be it....3 hours a day....that is your choice. we will help you no matter the schedule.

We have a lot of good stuff to show...to teach...and for you to learn.

Positions after the internships are over are possibility but currently we do not have any additional full time positions budgeted. We will aid successful interns in finding work by giving great letters of recommendation and also acting as an experienced reference. At the very least it is a great opportunity to get experience and learn from talented people which will aid you in a successful career.

email me at jmanley@troikagames.com for more info.

thanks

jason

PS...I did two internships back when i was in school...one for six months unpaid and one for three months. I learned more during those stints than I did in any year of college! If you are interested...dont hesitate to write!
