indeed looks nice. the only thing is that i had a strange feeling about the depth of field in the foreground. it looks like the foreground that stays mostly at the same depth have a different blur.
it's just a feeling of me then i look at the pictures. but these feelings are most of the time right ? :thumbsup:
like the black/white look. looks like film noire

Not quite.
The pieces need more geometry. Your depth of field is totally forced...and wrong. Your anti-aliasing needs work. The lighting is lackluster.
But I do like the angle of the shot.
Just my 2.5 cents...

that's the way how comments should be made ! Honest without attaching any negative feelings to it.
RE that image. Something is not quite right with it. The DOF looks weird ( did you manually create it, i.e. in Photoshop or something ). I think there is a problem with the 'tower' and the other figure ( which can only move diagonal ), that part somehow doesn't look quite right.
I agree with the depth of field remarks. Also, the image is too static. Adding some motion blur to the objects would be nice. Let's blur ! :-)

as is was just sad,
work on you aa and the dof-system. isnīt any peace of natral look in there. try to analyse some real shots to get a better feeling to that.

hey dude,
get some shadows in there...before doing color make a bw pic and see what stands out...or not, composition wise.
about the blur... do a search on depth of field to understand the topic better,i posted a link somewhere here before.
but htere is something in the image which would make me want to look at it again...so good just keep taking in the feed and u'll be good to go soon(er)
