View Full Version : Character: Concept art-body work
allenatl 04-15-2004, 05:48 AM Trying to create a generic body for use on a couple of 3d models.
One is a 3d version of a comic book character so I'm not going for super-realism but the anatomy needs to be accurate so I'm looking for critiques. These are early sketches.
Any specific body areas need work?

Looks good so far, but I think you need to give her a broader hip to make her more feminin
And as for the side view, she looks very thin. Maybe push her breast and stomach a bit further out.

Thanks for the advice, Jacob.
I had already edited the image before I saw your post. Unfortunately, I went in the opposite direction, based on critiques in another forum saying that the legs were too large.
I made the legs and hips narrower, but I probably should have left the hips alone.
I'll go back and try to broaden the hips a little as you suggested.

Broader hips. Thicker upper torso in side-view.
More advice is welcome.

Not definite, but maybe one of the comic book characters.
