View Full Version : Character: Women WIP
ShaneW 04-14-2004, 09:33 PM Hi, this is my wip for a female character. Please ignore the shiny blue skin and purple eyes. ;) Any comments and crits are welcome. I would like some advice before I add textures and create the rest of the body. Thanks. :)

Any advice?
Here goes my advices:
Lips need more definition, specially the lower lip.
The jaw needs to continue to about the ear lobe, not stop after the chin.
The chin looks too square.
The eyebrow arc needs more definition
Nostrils could use some more shape too.
The nose start, between the eyes, is pushed outwards. Correct that.
Forehead is too prohemint too.
Overall, i sugest u to get good reference views so u can get a better shape out of it.
Please continue it, keep it up!

Thanks for your reply. I am using a reference but the front and side don't match up exactly (it's close). I will get to fixing that and post an update when I am done. Thanks again.

---Defined the lower lip more.

--The jaw already extended to where the ear lobe would be but I moved it out more so it is more visible.
The chin looks too square.
---That's what I thought. My family all said it was too pointy so I changed it. Is this better or is it too pointy now?
The eyebrow arc needs more definition
---Defined the eyebrow arc more.
Nostrils could use some more shape too.
---Changed the nostrils to look alittle more like a real humans would.
The nose start, between the eyes, is pushed outwards. Correct that.
---Pushed the upper part of nose back.
Forehead is too prohemint too.
---Made forehead less prominent. Doesn't stick out as much.

---Before the head matched up to the reference. Maybe the reference images were not exactly straight on?
Please continue it, keep it up!
Small update. Next update will be ears.

That was supposed to be the temples but I guess I made them to big. Here is a very small single view update with smaller temples. They are still there but much smaller. Also, I realized that from one of the perspective views, it looked like the top of the forehead was jutted out. I fixed that also. By the way, in this update the head is not connected, since it is such a small update. Thanks for the advice.
Also, I included the refrence pictures I am using.
