Hey all,

Here at grid we seem to have some problems with some graphic cards in combination with messiah!
I would like to check if anybody else ran in to similar problems, we already wrote pmg, however no answer.

At first we had fx 500 cards

problems: some display malfunctions (missing digits like framenumbers, ... ), it helped when we dissabled hardware acceleration in the display/advanced setting properties. that offcourse slowed down some important functions like; previews, openGL and so

then we switched those cards with fx9800 cards

problem: flickering icons iin the messiah interface and every hour or so I runned into a total blackscreen crash (no warning or blue screen in advance!)

At home I never had problems neither did my colleges perhaps because our vga's are less recent products!

can somebody confirm these symptones and perhaps help us find a solution?

thx

We got the same problems with fx500, that's what they answered to me:

“For Quadro cards, go to the OpenGL Display Properties panel and change the
Page Flipping mode to "Use block transfer" (or something like that-- the
wording might be slightly different). Also in the driver, try turning off
Enable "Back/Depth buffers".

We are working to improve the performance on Quadro cards. There is
something unusual about them. GeForce cards work extremely well, but the
Quadro versions have caused some problems for some people.”

Hope that helps...

Glad we ain't the only ones having those problems .. thought some evil vibes in this studio caused it :-)

The adjustments LoScuro mentioned is what I did to fix similiar problems with my FX1000. Been working fine so far, with some minor flickering.
