Hi:

While rendering some complex scenes, C4D causes some memory errors on Windows 2000 and also on Windows XP. But when I try rendering the same scene on Windows 98 (in the same computer) , it renders without a problem. Does some one know why this happens? Is tehere anyone else who has the same problem ?

My configuration:
Athlon 1700 xp
256 ddr ram
4 gb free hdd space
Gforge2 pro vga
win XP and win98 operating system

Thanks

I occasionally have an out of memory problem when rendering in 2000, seriously high poly scenes though. I have 512MB DDR, watch the task manager as it renders.....see if it runs out before dropping out!

Maybe you have different virtual memory settings?

That does sound wierd. I would suggest taking down evey spec of your machine and send a detailed error report to Maxon. They should have the knowledge to see what is happening.

In the mean time try do a network render on the one machine and see what happens. This way you can see if having C4d open when you render makes a difference or not.

Hi;
Windows isn't error report for c4d. C4d was giving only "nat enough memory" message.

I will trying c4d net.

Thanks
