Really? The quality of the compression was terrible for me to really tell the quality of the movie.

But I really saw not much difference from movies like Daredevil (which, I understand, made money).

Besides, it is Halle Berry in that very sexy outfit. I'm there! But then again, I was there in Gothika, and I was the only one in the theater.

I think Barb Wire was a more serious female "super hero" than this version of Catwoman.

Give me the sexy catwoman... What the hell is up with the pre-ripped look? That is like buying ripped jeans instead of working the rips into them...it looks cheesy...I will pre-judge this movie in a heartbeat...:argh:

Yipes..just, yipes. :hmm:

Definitely looks sub-daredevil level bad to me so far..the pics of the costume spelled trouble before, but this is like nails, bolts, and welds on the coffin..

Clear off another spot in the "what were they thinking" hall of fame.

I'm not really sure what to say about that.

1. Compression was horrible.
2. Catwoman looks horrible.
3. Halle Berry is hot.

#3 in of itself will most likely make this a money maker. Pathetic, almost. But hot women sell.

I hope Haley Berry chokes on a hairball. Every role she touches turns to cheese. X-Men, Gothica, Swordfissh, even Monsters Ball. She should just stop acting and pose for Playboy. After Swordfish, we already know that she'll take her top off for a big stack of cash.

I don't know. - You guy's are getting pretty harsh.
I just watched it again, and I have to say that the picture itself is not very clear, and there is not enough information in those few sequences to make even an uninformed opinion.
I think that could be a proposed comedic reel teaser planed for post movie release. It's definitely not your regular variety of pre-release highlight point splash of scene's to get you into the seats it seems more like a post release tease to me.? :)

Yeah, the costume and story look to be a complete turd, as is the cut-on-speed-so-no-one-notices-crappy-fights editing (although that might be just the trailer). It looks like it's going to be a one embarassing cinematic experience.

But I did dug some of the camera work and choice of colors in some of the shots. Pitof has artistic eye to make visually interesting films, even if they're not otherwise all that great. It was a workprint trailer, though, so I might retract my words once I see an official, better quality version - or the final film.

Might rent this one just for laughs as I didn't much care about the comic book either.

Who cares what the compression's like; a bad preview is a bad preview; I could see that right off. Jeers to DC for killing catwoman. I haven't followed catwoman for a while but since when does she behave so much like a cat. I mean, forgive me for my ignorance but what's w/ her hair changing color and stuff. I agree w/the person that said that this should have gone straight to dvd or better yet DC should have scratched this thing in its inception...I could never see catwoman as a character that could carry an entire plot to a movie singlehandedly sorry. This movie is definately going to suck...bad.:hmm: :argh:

Well I hope there's more to it than rather poorly done innuendo, but I am not holding my breath.... cmon! The whole concept is full of innuendo which is best left subtle. It would be nice for a change if innuendo were more cleverly subdued than Halle Berry in an S&M catsuit slurping her cream. "Straight up!"

P.S. I will be watching Garfield if only because of JLH, but not even Halle Berry can save this one I'm afraid.

Oh...my...god......i'm having trouble believing any of it. The movie is bad enough...but...they really are making a game. Sadly enough, the game almost looks be.....no..I cant bring myself to even say it. I'm already so tired of the comic book movies. Some I liked. Others..........................I wish there was a barfing smiley.

If I was the director, I would put all we just saw in the first fifteen minutes, and the have her mauled to death by a stray dog. Ending it there would be poetic justice.

Halle Berry is such a disgusting person (yes, I admit she is physicaly hot). When she first took the X-Men job, she bitched and complained to the press about how there are no "real roles" for her to play, and she has to stoop to the low level of playing some "comic book movie." Then what does she do? She shows her tits for a large sum of money in Sword Fish. If being in X-Men was such a low-point in her career, what the hell was she doing in X-Men 2? Guess winning an award for Monster's Ball made no difference to her? Now, she's Catwoman. Integrity she hasn't got. What a hypocrite.

She showed even more for that academy award. That's probably why she was so surprised to win.... so was I. She's hot for sure, but I think her acting is over-rated. She's never held down a lead role that I can think of.

halley is great actress and beautiful women but when she signs up for shiz like this, shes asking for bomb. hey but halley isnt to blame totally, remember directors, costumer designers, writers, and producers are part of making a movie also. this movie is still going to blow. i prefer the catwoman from the penguin batman movie. she was at least cool and classy. not some slutty custome that looks like immitation leather. anyways sry halley, you made a bad choice;)

I have to agree with Abie1, does this movie have ANYthing at all to do with the comics? I mean, is she a human woman who, like Batman, just took on the guise of a cat because of the whole 'cat burglar' thing, or is she some weird mutant woman who only drinks cream, eats fish and hisses at dogs? If it's the first, then this trailer must be a joke edit to emphasize the fact that she's a friggin loon, if it's the second then the writers of this film need to be shot and everyone forget this ever happened. I wish hollywood would stop with the crap and start giving money to directors who know how to use it (aka Terry Gilliam...still waiting on Good Omens). Oh well, i'm not going to see this, i have far better movies to watch with my 2 hours and 10 bucks.

Funny - I was halfway through the new trailer before I realized it was for "Catwoman" and not "Gothica"

Got to say it is definitly a better marketing spin for the movie though. All slanted toward the dark avenging spirit type of movie and away from the silly bondage-fantasy spin you saw in the earlier trialer and costume design.

dont they know selina kyle is white? also they ...literally took the character catwoman...and made her catwoman...i looked on IMDB and i dont think this has anything to do with batman franchise at all. her name is patience philips. so this whole time i thought it was just a terrible way to butcher catwoman from batman... but i guess its something totaly differnt. either way its terrible.

also i cant imagine how many stupid cat puns they will put in this movie...

"luckily for me i got 9 lives!"

just really ridiculous stuff...also why get 'powers of a cat' that dont get more lame. like spiderman gets powers that actually are worth having spider sense, web, good looks. being a cat would suck so much ass, i cant belive this movie. i wanna go see the movie to see how bad it is, but i will not be paying for it. also this movie uses that 'terrible speed metal' music to sell the movie. so its clearly geared toward morons who wanna see skimpy outfits and not think while they are at the movie.

..the hell?

Just saw the latest (I guess) trailer on TV..so, they lift the tagline/premise from The Crow and it's all supposed to be okay? Sheeeeesh.

That edit does otherwise show it in a much better light, but I think if any of the scenes from the other 'trailer' even still exist in the movie, still on the express train to crapsville.

(Well ok that and they'd have to suddenly spring for a ton of FX work to digitally add a good costume :p )

This movie´s Catwoman is a different person.

Berry is interpreting another character who gets cat-like powers (Selina Kyle may be an amazing gimnast but, to my knowledge, has no inhuman superpowers), so she can be black, white, asian or martian, as long as it is in fact a woman, it makes no difference.

If thats the case, they could've at least given her a different super hero name, instead of leeching off of a name that already has a following. Or maybe I should make a Superman movie that has nothing to do with Clark Kent. As long as Superman is the title I'll make an easy hundred mill the opening weekend. And I won't be infringing because I'm not using the DC "Superman". My main character just happens to be a super man...

...Actually I'd shoot myself if I ever had to resort to that. And so should the people making this movie. Hollywood has absolutely no imagination.

Well, it´s not completelly unheard of.

The Superman myth is too much glued to Clark Kent, true, but Batman for instances has been disassociated from Bruce Vain  before (check the morning cartoons where you have a teen in a supersuit playing his part).

Marvel tried to axe Peter Parker and put another person under the hood in the infamous Clone Saga episode (that got fans up in arms and screaming for blood), Flash has been reincarnated by at least two persons and to this day, there are still people screaming for the return of Hal Jordan to the Green Lantern ring instead of supern00b Kyle Rayner.

Starman has had SO MANY incarnations that you could overheat your braincells trying to remember which number is the present one (6th? 9th?).

I never followed the Spawn comics but from what I gather, there´s been different people wearing that mantle over the ages, much like there´s been a different Witchblade carrier over the centuries of which Sarah Pezzini is just the present day´s.

Wonder Woman was once defeated by this blonde amazon who took her crown and title and even Jean Grey has had her Phoenix codename taken away by her daughter (or the daughter of her evil clone ... aw, forget it, I lost track of it myself too  ).

So, it´s not that outlandish for another person to take the Catwoman title since it´s not as attached to Selina Kyle as Clark Kent is to Superman.

So, how would you rate THIS ultimate demonstration of utter comicbook geekiness?:D

"Catwoman is the story of shy, sensitive artist Patience Philips (Halle Berry), a woman who can't seem to stop apologizing for her own existence. She works as a graphic designer for Hedare Beauty, a mammoth cosmetics company on the verge of releasing a revolutionary anti-aging product. When Patience inadvertently happens upon a dark secret her employer is hiding, she finds herself in the middle of a corporate conspiracy. What happens next changes Patience forever. In a mystical twist of fate, she is transformed into a woman with the strength, speed, agility and ultra-keen senses of a cat. With her newfound prowess and feline intuition, Patience becomes Catwoman, a sleek and stealthy creature balancing on the thin line between good and bad. Like any wildcat, she's dangerous, elusive and untamed. Her adventures are complicated by a burgeoning relationship with Tom Lone (Benjamin Bratt), a cop who has fallen for Patience but cannot shake his fascination with the mysterious Catwoman, who appears to be responsible for a string of crime sprees plaguing the city."
