View Full Version : Seat Ibiza v2
PedramK 07-11-2002, 05:01 AM Ok, here it is again. I deleted the old thread due to the fact that i
noticed the car i posted earlier had way too many faults and
differed significantly from the real seat ibiza. (i do blame it on my
lowres referenceimages) :)
Here is the new version of it, with fixed exterior faults and added interiordetail.

I like the optic.
The reflections and the radiosity look and feel.
Good Job!

Very good, but change those reflection maps, they are realy ugly and simply doesn't fit.
Change that and your picture will be perfect.
Very good model, keep going.

I think I would agree about the reflection map. It looks out of place in the scen. But everything else looks glorious!

Thx for the comments ppl. :)
Yea, the environmentmap is inteded as it is. I found the black
background dull and replaced it with a outdoor map to brighten
up the reflections on the car. I might do a real scenery for the car in the future. :)

render looks great, but the reflection on the car w/o any background looks rather odd.

Khepri, thx, great link! :)
Very nice.
Just place a big, square, 100 % (or more) illuminated plate above the car to act like a sky and thatīs it.

Thx for the comments lads. :)
tkay, aye, i have two illuminated "plates" that are being reflected already. though, i think my choise of their shape was a
tad..unfortunate.
actarus6, its rendered with Brazil R/S (http://www.splutterfish.com)
PS, klayman, hehe, naw, no more cars for me :)

How did you modeled it?
Nurbs or low poly with meshsmooth(it seems impossible), patch or something else?
Very beautyful

Really nice one one PedramK!
Since I can't think of any real improvements (yet want to give something to think about) it may seem a bit unmotivated, but anyways... here goes nothing :)
The reflections look a bit "too much", like on the hood or on the roof, I am not sure why they draw my attention, but I feel something is weird. Maybe they shouldn't be so strong or something.
Maybe put the car in some environment as well, to make a complete scene.
Anyways, great work man!
